Lesley and Greg's Wedding

This past January, my wife's uncle and his bride-to-be Lesley, asked us to come down to Florida to photograph their wedding. It was great to getaway from all the snow up here in Chicago and it was really nice to see the family again! The ceremony was held on the lawn at Lang Farm (www.thelangefarm.com) And the reception took place in the barn. It was a beautiful place for a wedding. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. Once again, we had the great opportunity to work with Tiffany and Koai. This time, focusing the majority of the photo shoot on their little girl Monroe Elyse. She is absolutely adorable! During this shoot, we were able to capture "a day in the life" of the family while also getting some really great portraits. Thank you again Matthews Family for inviting us into your home. Tiffany's Maternity Photo Shoot

Last summer I had the pleasure of photographing Tiffany and Koai's wedding festivities. More recently, they invited me back to photograph Tiffany first pregnancy. Spring 2010 - Pictures in the Park is coming!

Mark your calendars! We are in the very early stages of planning the Spring 2010 - Pictures in the Park. The date we are looking at is May 15th. There is big news for this year! The sitting fee will be free! Instead of charging a sitting fee, we will be posting all photos on a secure website for you to purchase prints and digital negatives. More info to come once it gets closer to the date.

Justine - Chicago Actress

We recently had the pleasure of meeting up with an old friend. We met Justine while attending college back in Michigan. Justine moved to Chicago to continue her studies in theater. When she decided to have new head shots taken, she called us up. We had a great time shooting around down town Chicago. Keep an eye out for her in the next big show! She got real talent! New and exciting news for Fairfax Photography!

There are many new and exciting things happening with Fairfax Photography. We are in the process of starting an official website. Although Blogger has been very good to us, it's time to upgrade to a real site. We have secured a domain name and have hired a web designer. Hopefully the new website will be up and running by this spring!

Recently we've done several portrait shoots including head shots for our good friend Justine and a family portrait session with the Shalabi Family. Also we have recently ventured into the wonderful world of maternity photography! Tiffany and Koai are expecting a baby girl in April! Congratulations to you both!

Hello Friends,

We hope you are having a great summer!

My wife Rachel and I would like to invite you to join us for our first annual Pictures in the Park. This event will take place on Saturday, September 12^th from 8am to noon at Madison Meadows Park in Lombard. (600 E. Madison St)

This is your chance for a new family photo, personal portrait or head shot, engagement photo, Christmas card photo, or anything else you can think of! Feel free to bring the dog along too! For only $20.00 per group, we will provide you with a high-resolution digital file of one to two poses to print any way you’d like.

No RSVP is necessary but if know you will be attending, please drop us a note so we can keep an eye out for you. It should be great day Madison Meadows. If weather decides to be uncooperative, we will email you with an alternate date.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to any family or friends you think might be interested in participating in this event. They are more then welcome to join us!

We will be photographing groups on a first come first served basis, so please check in at the table under the pavilion when you arrive.

Tiffany and Koai

Tiffany Walker and Koai Matthews wed on Saturday, June 20th 2009 at the Salem Lutheran Church on the South Side of Chicago. The church was beautiful and old, which fit their vintage theme well. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding and Tiffany looked stunning in her dress. My wife Rachel came along with me to assist. We worked very well together and everything went smoothly. We had the opportunity to be with Tiffany and her bridesmaids during the "getting ready process" and then we headed over to the church to spend some time with the guys. They were a fun bunch! After the ceremony Tiffany and her new husband Koai headed right outside to take some photos together. Soon after that we took formal family photos in the church then headed outside with the wedding party to take some group shots. The reception was held at 94 West, a very nice restaurant in Orland Park, IL. Everyone had a great time celebrating with the newlyweds. Please enjoy a few samples from the event below.
